Sculpture is a three dimensional art form, which I have explored mostly with textiles, wire, clay, paper machete, and stone. I began with the textile arts, creating 3 dimensional forms and adding surface design. A natural evolvement morphed into wire structures with paper machete or textile elements such as raw wool. More chairs may be seen in installations. As I explored drawing I found my match in drawing in 3 dimensional space with wire (see installations) and adding found objects or wax. Clay and the opportunity to used a pottery studio produced a series of rattles and animals. Then came the beautiful essence of stone, which needs no transformation, but sometimes beckons to release a form from its depths!
